Forgiveness and Gratitude:  The Keys to Healing

Forgiveness hasn’t been easy, but it’s been necessary.  For a long time, I replayed the hurt and disappointment.  What I’ve learned is that forgiveness isn’t about excusing someone’s behaviour-it’s about freeing yourself from the grip of it.  When I finally allowed myself to let go, I created space for peace to move in.

Gratitude has helped me stay grounded through it all.  Even in heartbreak, I’ve learned to look for what’s still good-the people who care, the lessons I’ve learned, the strength I didn’t know I had.  When I focus on what I’m thankful for, it reminds me that life still holds beauty.  Healing, I’ve found, isn’t about erasing the past.  It’s about honoring it, learning from it, and moving forward with a softer heart.
